Wording of Oct. 31, 2026.
This is where we spell out which personal information reaches WeMakeWebWork in plain words.
What reaches us
Your message to WeMakeWebWork gives us your words plus a name and email.
Fixes readers send are kept until we have dealt with them, along with optional contact details; contact details stay private.
Posts and scores you share on WeMakeWebWork are stored and can appear on the page; we check posts before they go live.
So that every vote is fair, what we store is a one-way fingerprint of the connection, with no way to recover the original.
On WeMakeWebWork that also covers:
- Details you send through our quote form: name, email, website address and your message, used only to reply and to do the work you ask for.
In the background, our hosting company keeps a record of basic request details such as IP address and browser, in case something breaks.
Separately, we hold anonymous totals such as how often a feature is used, with no personal details attached.
Stored locally
Forms that remember things save what you entered in your own browser; we never receive any of that.
Do you use cookies?
Using the site requires no login, and our pages work without cookies from us.
Where we use outside analytics, or ads, those tools can use cookies, and you can delete them at any time.
Who sees it
WeMakeWebWork does not sell visitor information to anyone. Apart from the providers that keep WeMakeWebWork online, no outside party gets your data unless a lawful order requires it.
Getting your data deleted
To fix or remove your information, write to fix@wemakewebwork.com; we act on every request.
When you give us access to your site, we use it only for the agreed work, and you can remove our access at any time.
Children and updates
We do not aim WeMakeWebWork at anyone under 13, and anything a child sent will be removed on request.
Should anything change, the new version will appear here and the date at the top moves.
